Last Friday, your Rocks traveled to Franklin Central to face the Flashes, earning a 19-14 victory. The win assures a 5-4 wining record for the regular season, while the 3-4 conference record puts the Rocks fifth in the HCC.
The Shamrock offense was led by Camden Simons along with the consistent route running of Jacob Riddle. Mason Piening provided the big play of the game when he snagged a long Simons pass on the first play of the game and took it in for the score. The Rock D was led by Grant Joyce, with Alan White and David Frey tacking on solid play on both the front and back end of the defense. Two highlights standout in this one for the defense, with a key goal line stand, as well as a Joyce interception denying points to the Flashes when they threatened over the course of the game. Shamrock Special Teams were led by Carsen Voorhis, along with the consistent play of Lyle Beam. The big play of the game was provided by Mark McLaurin and Bryson Hoover.
Special mention should be given to Eric Jimenez, Jack Woodard, and Alex Wolfe. These Rocks made significant contributions in preparing the team for the Friday contest. During the week, they show us what it means to be united, providing the best possible look for their fellow teammates.
The Rocks will return to action in two weeks time, after the standard 6A first round bye, when they will open sectional play at home against the Fishers Tigers. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm on Friday, November 1st.
