#Gameday Varsity at Avon

Tonight, your Rocks will travel to Avon to face the Orioles. Avon comes into the contest with a spotless 6-0 (4-0 HCC) record. They're also ranked as the top 6A team in the state. Both HSE and Brownsburg played the Orioles close, so the Rocks will have a tough task tonight.

Avon is averaging 34.7 points per game on 301 yards (183 air). They are led by Junior QB Henry Hesson (#10), who has thrown for 1098 yards and 18 touchdowns this year. His favorite targets are Carmelo Mitchell (#15; 21/319/7) and Cohen Murrell (#16; 22/297/3). The rushing load has been split between Chrishon Mccray (#2; 42/307/3) and Jalen Love (#20; 67/252/1). They also have a defensive front that is averaging almost 2 sacks per game.

Avon's top ranking in the state is not by accident. They have shined against tough competition so far this year, and have all the tools for a deep playoff run. The Rocks will need to rebound from a pair of difficult losses and put together a complete, united game tonight in order to steal a victory on their opponent's turf.

It should be a gorgeous night tonight for Friday Night Lights, with the game time temperature in the mid-60's. It'll probably get a bit chilly after the sun goes down, so bring a jacket and come cheer on your Rocks. Need directions? We've got you covered below. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
