Tonight, your Rocks will host the Zionsville Eagles, for the first of two conference rivalry games. The Eagles come in with a 1-1 record (0-0 HCC), fresh off a 56-6 drubbing of Lebanon. They lost to Pike in week one, 27-19.
The Eagles are scoring 37.5 ppg on 475 ypg (303 air, 172 ground). They are led by QB Josh Wagner (#5). Wagner has already thrown for 412 yards this year, with his favorite targets being RB/WR Tommy Fossett III (#8, 101 ypg) and WR Jordan Hull (#1, 79 ypg). Out of the backfield, RB Gus Baumgartner (#27) spearheads the ground attack, averaging 104 ypg. The Eagles have proven to have an electric offense already this year that the Rock D will need to tether before it takes off.
The Shining Star trophy has resided in Westfield for the last handful of years, but the Shamrocks will face an Eagle team tonight looking to rise up and snatch it. No directions needed for this one, as kickoff is scheduled for 7pm at Riverview Health Stadium.
As an added bonus tonight, if you can't make it to the game live, there is a live steaming option. WHMB TV-40 will be streaming the game, starting at 7pm (LINK HERE), while the TV broadcast will be a replay at 10pm. The replay of the game will also be available at that link all week.
Go Rocks!
