Last Friday, your Rocks hosted the Fishers Tigers, earning a 42-14 victory. The win lifts the Rocks to 6-4 on the year, while seeing them through to the Sectional Championship.
The Shamrock offense was led by the Mason Piening and Dane Wheeler. Ayden Parker, Jacob Netral, and Ross Krieg added consistent play in the line. The big play was reception by Piening where he shed multiple tackles, outracing Tigers to the endzone while nearly getting caught by Netral from the line.
The Rock D was led by Micah Hauser and Benji Welch. Eli Patchett and David Frey tacked on consistent play. Popeye Williams, Benji Welch, Owen Ogle, and Grant Joyce all contributed big plays on the night, taking the ball away from the Tigers multiple times.
Shamrock Special Teams were led by Micah Hauser. Sean Sullivan added consistent kicks throughout the night, while Jack Pfeiffer had the big play.
Special mention should be given to Jonathan Hernandez, Jonathon Frey, Eli Carter, and Dalen Blanding. These Rocks made significant contributions in preparing the team for the Friday contest. During the week, they show us what it means to be united, providing the best possible look for their fellow teammates.
The Rocks will travel to face the Carmel Greyhounds for the Sectional 4 title next Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
