On the Shoulders of Giants

This week, Coach Gilbert has talked about Pounding the Rock to maximize each of our individual talents. It is not enough to simply accept your role on a team and play within that role. For the team to succeed at a high level, we need each individual to take PRIDE in their role and work hard to maximize their own individual potential. Do not settle. Always strive to improve. Do your role to the best of your ability, and then endeavor to increase that ability through hard work. If that work ends up expanding your role, so be it! Keep pounding!

The following individuals are former Rocks that are still pounding away, working to improve their potential in the game of football. They continue their careers at the collegiate level, and we wanted to acknowledge them. They've helped build the program you are a part of today, and we're quite proud of them.

  • Wade Burtron - St. Joe's
  • Brandon Gray - Wheaton
  • Chris Huntley - Rose-Hulman (starting as a Freshman)
  • Allen Mudd - Anderson

In addition, Cameron Pruett plans to attempt to walk on to IU in the spring. Wish him luck.

Go Rocks.
