#RockReport Freshmen vs HSE

The freshman Rocks of Westfield defeated the Royals from Hamilton Southeastern by a score of 40-19. This was a great team effort, with many contributors from all sides of the ball. Standout players included the running backs for the offense – Levi Harless and Bryson Hoover – whose aggressive running paved the offense’s way to the end zone on multiple occasions. Mr. Consistency on the offense went to the TE Luke Lewis, as he combined great blocking skills in the run game along with clutch receptions in the passing game. The big play of the game was the Webster toss to Amarion Ballard for a 60 yard touchdown on the first drive of the third quarter. The defense combined its efforts to produce four takeaways. Safety Alex Wolf accounted for two of those takeaways on clutch interceptions. Mr. Consistency Zach Williams was a force on the defensive line, tackling the running back for a loss or pressuring the quarterback on nearly every play he was in. Along with multiple tackles and player of the game honors on defense, Magwire Graybill earned a nod as special teams player of the game. He accounted for two scores – one on a blocked punt, and one on a defensive takeaway. The kicker Easton Snodgrass received Mr. Consistency for his wonderful placement of kickoffs, and the big play was Kyle Widmer’s blocked PAT after HSE’s first score. The Rocks will play Brownsburg at Brownsburg on Saturday, September 22nd . Kickoff is at 10:00 a.m. Go Rocks!
